a few words about us

We are proactive and innovative

For more than a decade, IANZ have provided training for people working in various industries which are crucial parts of employees’ and managers’ work. IANZ is owned by HP Associates Limited and is a New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) registered tertiary Private Training Establishment.

Our governance and management are highly effective. We have a comprehensive and robust self-assessment and strong engagement with key stakeholders, current students, and a local advisory committee. We have robust programme implementation and monitoring systems, resources, expertise, and support (both academic and pastoral, and internal and external) required in providing every opportunity for students to achieve.
We recognise that the world is emerging, and we have made a serious and sincere effort to be more pro-active and innovative in our business approach as reflected in our new tagline—’Emerging world. Innovative education.’

Key aspects underlying our success:

Our success did not come overnight. It was achieved through hard work, determination, accurate planning and execution.

1

Strong Leadership

We adopt a participative leadership style by encouraging staff, students and other stakeholders to participate in our major decision-making process. We allow decisions to be made based on what the majority decides. We utilise our staff to get the most productivity out of them by working as a team, which empowers them to make decisions and try new things.

Our leadership style creates a positive atmosphere which motivates our students to perform to the best of their ability, which eliminates much of the negative behaviour. We encourage our students to actively participate in clubs, organisation and the overall school functions.

2

Clear Vision and Mission

Our vision is to become the leader in providing distinctive, innovative and engaging education that fosters achievement and success.

Our mission is to create an excellent learning environment that promotes mutual respect, understanding and social responsibility; and to empower students from diverse cultural backgrounds to achieve their greatest potential to adapt and adjust to a diverse and emerging world of change and challenge.

We share our vision and mission with the rest of the educational community. We understand our goals and all work together for their achievement. Our vision and mission are not just statements that merely affirm what the Academy is rather than what it should be.

3

Safe and Orderly Learning Environment

Our goal is to provide outstanding support and service through highly skilled staff with strong customer service focus.

We are committed to communicating effectively with our constituents to build relationships based on mutual respect and shared goals. We promote a clean, safe and sustainable learning environment by creating innovative processes and efficient procedures.

High Expectations

We always strive for excellence. We believe that no matter how well a class learns at present, they can always learn better the next time round.

We hold high expectations that our students can learn, and we translate these expectations into teaching behaviours. We set objectives, work toward mastery of those objectives, spend more time on instruction, and actively monitor student progress. We do these by ensuring that the overall learning environment is non-threatening and communicates trust and respect to encourage students to take risks, turn short-term failure into long-term success, and hone their learning ability.
